Indian Banks Want to Sell Gold

Posted by busViews on October 20, 2009

Banks in India want to sell gold. It’s not just that they’re hoping people will buy gold from them. They are implementing major marketing campaigns to convince people that now is a terrific time to buy gold. Many people in India are interested by these campaigns and are joining the race to buy gold coins and gold bars.

Indian banks aren’t trying to pull the wool over anyone’s eyes here. There are legitimate reasons to invest in gold. Gold bars and gold coins tend to have a much steadier value than other forms of money. They also have more value than other forms of gold such as gold jewelry. Many people are selling gold jewelry and buying gold coins for precisely this reason.

The banks in India are doing well with their marketing campaign so far. They’re encouraging people to buy special gold bars during the festive season to make the holidays even happier. They are creating special offers for potential buyers. And they are also clearly explaining to people why gold is such a good investment compared to other investment opportunities. Their efforts are resulting in more gold sales than ever before which makes the banks happy and seems to be good for the buyers as well.

Finding Better Ways to Manage our Files

Posted by bus44 on October 14, 2009

file-management Over the last ten years business has been very good.  In fact, our small medical clinic has grown in leaps and bounds and we serve thousands of customers each week.  Though there have been a few challenges along the way, I would have to say the worst would be the number of patient files.

Ten years ago, we had one room dedicated to storing our patient files.  It wasn’t too hard to find the files that you were looking for and one room wasn’t a lot of space.  It was a very efficient method at the time and served us very well.

But now, ten years later, we are bursting at the seams.  The files now take up nearly twenty five percent of our building and we are pretty much out of room.  Also, finding a specific file is a big headache and it is typical to spend over ten minutes to find the one that you want.

So, we have been in talks with some document management software vendors to see if there are some products that could work with our needs.  Since computer storage is very affordable, I think that it would make sense to find some document scanning solutions, scan all of the client files, and free up the space that was previously occupied by all of our file cabinets.

It will be nice to get rid of the file cabinets and have room for a few more offices – it might be just what we need to justify hiring another doctor for the office which would be good for us and our patients.
