The Perfect Birthday Gift

Since my son’s birthday is the 4th of December, it can be sometimes difficult to find a present for him. We can’t really buy him anything that can be used in the summer since he would have to wait nearly four months before we can use it (since we get snow in the winter). And what kid wants to wait that long?
So this year we had to wrack our brains to figure out something a little different for him. Last year we bought him a Nintendo DS, so this year we wanted to get him something a little different. But we had no idea what.
Thankfully, our son gave us the perfect idea – he suggested that we get him a digital camera. If you haven’t been out shopping for cameras for kids, they now have a large selection of inexpensive cameras for children that are a little more durable than the camera that we use. It makes a lot of sense, since kids are a little rougher with stuff anyway.
But we wanted to make sure that our purchase would last, so we bought him a camera bag that fit his camera perfectly. I know that when I got my first camera as a present, my father made sure that I had a camera case and it made a lot of sense.
Now, just ten days later, it has been interesting to see what kind of pictures he takes with his camera – he is sure turning into quite the little photographer.
