I found myself asking this exact question not too long ago. After doing tons of research and interviewing builders personally, I discovered that there are hallmark traits to look for in a great custom home builder. The things I suggest others look for in a builder include:

• Reputation – It doesn’t matter whether you’re looking for custom homes in Dunnellon, or houses in Tampa, Orlando or St. Pete. The best builders will have reputations that speak for themselves.
• Experience – This is an incredibly big deal. You wouldn’t go to a dentist that has never practiced before. So, why trust a builder without experience?
• Attention to detail – To really see if a builder pays attention to detail, look at their models, ask questions and pay attention to that reputation thing. It does pay off!

Finding the best Orlando, Tampa or even Panama City custom homes involves really seeking out a good builder. Do this and you’re not going to be disappointed. The best builders just won’t allow it!
